College Fundraiser - McGregor Shaw Family
On Thursday 28 March, the Howard Springs campus Junior, Middle and Senior schools took part in fundraising activities to support our College McGregor Shaw family.
The Junior school students supported the fundraiser with the sale of sausage sandwiches, fruit poppers and Zooper Doopers at lunch time. Dennis Tak (Staff member) manned the BBQ while the Year 5 Captains handed them out along with the poppers. Students were also able to wear their favourite sports team attire or house shirt.
Middle and Senior school students and staff supported the fundraising efforts by a Dress in your Sporting Colours day, buying treats at the bake sale and sausage sizzle, Karaoke singing, Kick a footy comp and Lolly Jar guess competition.
Congratulations to the following winners of the competitions on the day:
Guess the Lolly Jar - Layla D
NRL Kick - Nate S
AFL Kick - Mr Chote
Karaoke - Joel S
MVP Spirit of the Day - Jimmy H
Overall, the College raised an amazing $4459 on the day. A fantastic effort by our community to support our fellow students Willard, George and Stirling, as well as their parents, as they continue the journey of recovery.
The fundraising campaign continues with a Raffle Competition running through until Friday 26 April. We thank the amazing local businesses and individuals who have supported this fundraising raffle through their donations of the fantastic prizes.
